    Clara und Danny beaufsichtigen eine zweitägige Klassenfahrt. Aber als sie am Morgen des zweiten Tages erwachen, müssen sie feststellen, dass sich ein rissiger Wald über Nacht in ganz London ausgebreitet hat.
    An einem anderen Ort in London trifft der Doctor auf Maeve, eine der Schülerinnen von Clara und Danny, die anscheinend eine seltsame Verbindung zu den mysteriösen Vorgängen hat.
    Die Suche nach Maeve führt Clara zum Doctor und gemeinsam erkennen sie, das der Wald nicht nur London befallen hat, er hat sich auf der gesamten Welt ausgebreitet.
    Während ein tödlicher sonnenfind auf die Erde zurast müssen der Doctor und Clara entscheiden, ob die Bäume ein Werk der Zerstörung, oder der Rettung sind.
