    Die TARDIS rast außer Kontrolle durch Zeit und Raum und materialisiert sich an Bord eines riesigen Raumschiffs, das aus einem Wurmloch am äußersten Rand des Universums aufgetaucht ist.
    Der Doctor und Donna verlassen die Zeitmaschine, damit diese sich selbst reparieren kann und müssen dann schockiert zusehen, wie sie verschwindet. Die TARDIS wurde durch eine feindliche Präsenz erschreckt, die sie an Bord des Schiffes entdeckt hat, aber alles, was die Reisenden finden können, ist ein alter, praktisch bewegungsloser Roboter und ein seltsames Klopfen am Rumpf.
    Doch während der Schiffscomputer das Fehlen anderer Lebenszeichen bestätigt, werden der Doctor und Donna bald mit ihren eigenen verzerrten Doppelgängern konfrontiert.
